Purpose

Brown Western's mission is to help BUSY, WORKING adults earn their degrees. Working adults who are busy, yet desire to earn a real university degree without having to seriously upset their personal or professional responsibilities.  Because we're geared to educate busy, working adults, our courses strive to strike a balance between the academic and the practical; between the theoretical and application.

Each student is unique to Brown Western University (BWU) and inasmuch as each is a working adult, each is treated as though he or she has already learned much in the world of work and through life experience.  To that end, BWU has been approved to offer, and is pleased to invite students to apply for appropriate “life experience credit” based on recognized parameters. 

Brown Western University faculty members have earned appropriate fully accredited degrees from universities throughout the US and each has been selected for his/her ability to work effectively with working adult students utilizing current online learning (OL) technologies.  BWU continues to provide its’ faculty with the latest information regarding effective practice in OL in an attempt to keep our courses effective and student learning high.
